Santa Clara University - Law School

October 2018

Dear SCU Law Students,

We understand that the cost incurred with an education today is substantial, usually the second largest investment to purchasing a home. Although the University provides refunds for students taking a leave of absence or withdrawal, it is limited to the first four weeks of school.

In light of this, we have partnered with A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. to offer you an optional Tuition Refund Plan (TRP). This plan is designed to protect your educational investment by reimbursing tuition costs should you find it necessary to leave the University for medical reasons after the semester begins. The unexpected happens so please be prepared!

This plan significantly extends and enhances SCU's published Tuition Refund Policy (located in your Bulletin and the Bursar Office website). You are assured up to an 80% tuiton refund throughout the semester, should you need to withdraw for a personal illness or accident, even though our own refund policy has expired.

Please take a minute to review the rate listed on the application page. This is an exceptionally low cost program that could literally save you thousands of dollars!

If you wish to subscribe to the plan, your application and payment must be submitted by the first day of the semester - January 7, 2019 for spring applicants. Applications cannot be accepted after this date. For personal assistance, please call our Dewar representative, John Cruden, directly at (415) 246-0738.
