Berklee College of Music

To Our Students and Parents:
With the current level of education costs, we have had a concern for the student who suffers a serious illness or accident and has to leave Berklee College of Music before the semester is completed. In many instances it means not only the loss of time invested in studies, but also the loss of the semester's costs.

Students are encouraged to enroll in the Tuition Refund Plan offered by A.W.G. Dewar. This elective insurance plan provides coverage for Tuition and Housing charges. Accordingly, the costs insured for the 2016/2017 academic year are $58,220.00 for the degree program and $52,660.00 for the diploma program.

This Plan significantly extends and enhances the College's published withdrawal policy. You are assured of a 70% refund throughout the term, even after the College's own refund policy has expired. The Plan benefit is coordinated with and reduced by any refund provided by the College. This Plan is especially beneficial when you are forced to withdraw and then return for a later term.

We are providing the Tuition Refund Plan as an option for students and parents. It is an inexpensive form of protection, and we urge that you carefully read the coverage section and consider the advantages. It is vital that those who wish to participate online submit the application by September 6, 2016. Applications cannot be accepted after that day.

I encourage you to review the coverage section and if you choose process your application online.
