University of St. Thomas

Dear University of St. Thomas Student,
Given the substantial financial commitment that students and their families make to receive an education at the University of St. Thomas, the University has collaborated with Dewar to offer a Tuition Refund Plan that can minimize the impact of a financial loss. The University cares about the investment in your education. Although the University provides tuition refunds for students taking a leave of absence or withdrawal, the refunds are limited to the first six weeks of fall or spring semester.

The Tuition Refund Plan significantly extends and enhances the University’s published tuition refund policy. Every year we work with a number of students who encounter difficult health challenges that prevent them from completing their classes. Unfortunately, the students who were required to withdraw from a semester and who did not elect to purchase the TRP received no tuition refund (after the sixth week of the term), even for the most serious and difficult conditions.

This elective plan provides coverage for tuition expenses and extends the University’s published refund policy. Subscribers are provided a 70% refund throughout the term even though the University’s own refund schedule may have expired at the time of withdrawal.

$180.50 / Per Term for Tuition and Mandatory Fees*

$225.50 / Per Term for Tuition, Mandatory Fees, Room, Board**

$ 44.00 / J-Term for Tuition Only

  *Students charged only for semesters for which you are registered.
 **Room and or Board coverage for campus owned housing and student meal plans only.
