Dear Students and Parents:

We are pleased to inform you that Lynn University has arranged with A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. to offer the Tuition Refund Plan (T.R.P.) to our students and parents to minimize the financial burden of losses incurred when a student suffers a serious illness or accident and has to leave Lynn before completing the semester. These circumstances usually mean the loss of time invested in studies, and the loss of the semester's costs. This elective insurance program provides coverage for tuition, room and board charges.

The Plan coverage is designed to extend the University's published refund policy. You may receive up to a 70% refund of covered charges, (subject to insured terms and conditions) even after the University's refund policy has expired. The chart below is a sample illustration of how the Tuition Refund Plan complements our refund schedule for tuition charges. If a student withdraws because of a physical illness, accident or mental health condition, the Plan returns 70% of the insured semester tuition and room and board charges, less any refund given by the University.

For Room and Board

There is no room refund after the registration day. Board (Food Plan) refunds are prorated based on amount used. As with tuition, the Dewar Tuition Refund Plan covers up to 70% of housing and board plan charges less any refund or credit provided by the University.

Special fees, such as Institute Achievement Program fee or mandatory fees such as technology and student services fees are not covered under this plan.

We are providing the Dewar Tuition Refund Plan as an option for students and parents. Those who wish to participate online should submit their application by the first day of class in the Fall 2020 Semester. Online applications cannot be accepted after the first day of classes.

Please contact Dewar directly at (617) 774-1555, if you have any questions regarding the Tuition Refund Plan.

Sincerely,

Thomas Rooney
Chief Financial Officer
